Malton Livestock Market
The town of Malton has a decision to make. It has capacity for one more supermarket, and two alternatives are being proposed: the Malton (Fitzwilliam) Estate is considering the redevelopment of the Livestock Market in the centre of Malton, whereas Ryedale District Council is promoting the redevelopment of the Wentworth Street car park.
The Estate is asking you to help decide the kind of town you want to be part of, the flourishing town you want the next generation to inherit. You may think that as individuals you are powerless. This is not so, particularly now that this Government is keen to see local decisions taken by local communities, not just the planning powers-that-be. .
To help you decide, we have held consultation exhibitions in April and May. If you were not able to make either exhibition and want to talk to us, the same information as exhibited has been uploaded on this website. You can also let us have your views by completing the short questionnaire on this website. If you have any questions, please go to the questions page - we will endeavour to answer your question within 48 hours. If you wish to receive updates about this project, please complete the update form and we will send you an email whenever there is new news about the project.
